Description: This carved Naga is kept under the sim building at Wat Phontane. It is used to anoint monks as they as they advance through the different stages of monkhood. It is also used to anoint novice monks or lay people. Water is poured down from the tail end of the naga and travels down the naga's body to anoint the person sitting on the ground below the naga's head.
