Description: There are two spinning wheels pictured here, a small one in the middle front and one large wheel on the right side. The small spinning wheel pictured here is different from the Lao spinning wheel because the spool is on top of the wheel rather than off to the side at the same level. Because the spool is on top, the woman must push down on the pedal to hold the thread while she is threading it onto the spool.
